About John’s Studio

John Reynolds has taught private trumpet lessons for more than a decade. Employing pedagogical techniques from both Classical and Jazz realms, John is able to instruct many different types of students of all ages. John holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education from Point Loma Nazarene University and a Master of Music in Jazz Performance from San Diego State University. John is a freelance trumpeter in Southern California and teaches Jazz Band, Jazz Improvisation and Music History in the music department at PLNU. He is currently enrolled in the Doctorate of Musical Arts program at the prestigious University of Southern California.
